EBACE2010: Geneva Palexpo Stand Configurations & Drawing Approval

To ensure that EBACE2010 is a valuable event for all Exhibitors, there are limitations on the Stand designs permitted in the Exhibit Hall. For some Stand configurations, Exhibitors must submit scaled floor plans for approval to EBACE Management no later than March 5, 2010.

INLINE STAND

An Inline Stand contains one or more 3 m by 3 m units in a straight line with stands on either side and/or behind its back wall.

• Inline Stands must include 2.5 m (8 ft) backwall and sidewall solid panels. Exhibitors are required to either purchase a Shell-Scheme package offered through EBACE Management or, if the Exhibitor’s exhibit includes back and sidewall panels, submit a detailed layout of the exhibit to EBACE Management for approval with exhibit applications.
• The maximum permitted height of exhibit materials, components and identification signs is 2.5 m (8 ft).

PERIMETER ISLAND STAND

A Perimeter Island Stand contains perimeter wall structures, is greater than 4.6 m (15 ft) in height, has one or more display levels, is unfinished on any side and/or requires hanging signs, materials or components (excluding lighting trusses).

• Exhibit materials, components, identification signs and hanging signs will be permitted to a maximum height of 7.6 m (25 ft) provided written approval is requested from EBACE Management by March 5, 2010.
• Full use of the floor space is permitted.
• All Exhibitors occupying Island Stands (of any size), must submit scaled floor plans for approval to EBACE Management no later than March 5, 2010. Drawings should be submitted via email to Linda Peters at lpeters@nbaa.org.

NON-PERIMETER ISLAND STAND – 186 sqm (2,000 sqf) or larger

A Non-Perimeter Island Stand over 186 sqm (2,000 sqf ) has aisles on all four sides and requires one or more display levels.

• Hanging signs, materials or components, with the exception of lighting trusses, are NOT permitted above stand spaces.
• Perimeter hard walls occupying 50% of the stand space are NOT permitted.
• Exhibit materials, components and identification signs will be permitted to a maximum height of 4.6 m (15 ft) provided written approval is requested from EBACE Management on or before March 5, 2010.
• Full use of the purchased floor space is permitted.
• All Exhibitors occupying Island Stands (of any size), must submit scaled floor plans for approval to EBACE Management no later than March 5, 2010. Drawings should be submitted via e-mail to Linda Peters at lpeters@nbaa.org.

NON-PERIMETER ISLAND STAND – less than 186 sqm (2,000 sqf)

An Island Stand less than 186 sqm (2,000 sqf) has aisles on all four sides and requires one or more display levels.

• Hanging signs, materials or components, with the exception of lighting trusses, are NOT permitted above stand spaces.
• Perimeter hard walls occupying 50% of the stand space are NOT permitted.
• All ground supported exhibit materials, components and identification signs will be permitted to a maximum height of 6.1 m (20 ft).
• Full use of the purchased floor space is permitted.
• All Exhibitors occupying Island Stands (of any size), must submit scaled floor plans for approval to EBACE Management no later than March 5, 2010. Drawings should be submitted via e-mail to Linda Peters at lpeters@nbaa.org.

HELICOPTER STATIC DISPLAY SPACE (Outdoor Platform between Halls 6 and 7)

• Aircraft signage, carpeting, bicycle fencing and/or rope and stanchions, outdoor furniture and hospitality structures are permitted in this space.
• All exhibiting companies are required to submit diagrams of their proposed displays to EBACE Management for approval on or before March 5, 2010.

MULTILEVEL & COVERED STANDS

All Exhibitors in Multilevel or Covered Stands must submit their exhibit plans for approval to EBACE Management, Geneva Palexpo and the Geneva Palexpo Fire Marshal by March 5, 2010.

Plans must include:

• Event name and stand number
• Maximum number of occupants allowed
• Structural engineer’s stamp certifying that the platform can bear the maximum occupant load

Drawings for tents, awnings and canopies should include detailed plans showing size, height, location, anchoring areas and certification that the material is flame retardant.

Certain stands may require fire watches, smoke detection devices, fire extinguishers, multiple exits, etc., as required by fire prevention officials.

Exhibitors with Multilevel and Covered Stands must submit one copy of a sealed and scaled floor plan (with front and side elevations) to:
