The entire last afternoon of EBACE2008 is dedicated to providing a rare opportunity for those that maintain and opearate aircraft that fly in European airspace, and who will ultimately be the ones that will have to comply with the new rules, to discuss their concerns and needs with key EASA officials.
The sunset of the JAA and the ascension of EASA as the European community's aviation rulemaking body is bringing with it a sea change in operational regulations that, in the near future, will affect all business aircraft operators. The EASA operations and licensing rulemaking process has been underway for almost two years and the Notices of Proposed Amendment of the rules are now being issued for comment.
